Social Scenes
Callice Court is located on Gosford Street, one of Coventry’s most vibrant and unique shopping areas. There are cafés, bars and shops all along the street, which is currently undergoing a major regeneration project.
Coventry University’s Students’ Union, Hush, is located a few doors away from Callice Court, meaning you’re just a short walk away from all the events and nights out which are hosted throughout the year.
Less than 10 minutes’ walk into the town centre, you’ll find a range of great bars and pubs as well as many student-friendly nightclubs, most notably the Kasbah on Primrose Hill Street, The Phoenix on Gosford Street, and Quids Inn, also on Gosford Street.
What
If you’re looking to relax after lectures or at the weekend, take a walk down to Memorial Park for a spot of sunbathing and a game of frisbee, or climb Coventry Cathedral for views stretching past the university campus and out across Coventry. Memorial Park is also home to the popular Godiva Festival.
The Kasbah is a popular venue for bands that are passing through Coventry, and the Belgrade Theatre plays host to top-quality theatre shows.
Coventry is located just 20 minutes away from Birmingham by train, where you can shop in the Bullring, watch the biggest touring acts in the NEC, or fly all over the world from Birmingham airport.
Getting Active
Coventry city centre is where you will find the Skydome, home to the Coventry Blaze ice hockey team, who have won the elite league title on multiple occasions. Members of the public can use the Skydome’s ice rink for recreational skating all year round.
The university gym is located five minutes away from Callice Court, giving you easy access to the top-class facilities. There are additional gyms and health clubs around the city centre.

Coventry train station is just 20 minutes’ walk from Callice Court and provides quick access to Birmingham city centre and Birmingham International Airport.
Trains from Coventry to London Euston take about an hour, so you can take advantage of the country’s best attractions at weekends.
Coventry bus station is just 10 minutes’ walk from the property and offers inter-city travel as well as nationwide National Express services.
Coventry is just off junction 3 of the M6, so you’re right at the heart of the UK’s motorway network. Callice Court is centrally located with easy access to the ring road and the major links to the M6 and M40.
Local Essentials
Coventry city centre’s best shopping selection is in and around the West Orchards shopping centre. The mall has hundreds of shops to choose from, as well as The Terrace - a dedicated food floor with a dozen restaurants and cafés, all just 10 minutes’ walk from Callice Court.
There are a range of retail parks in and around Coventry. Central Six is just opposite the train station, within 20 minutes’ walk of Callice Court. Gallagher Retail Park and Arena Retail Park are outside the ring road, and accessible by car or bus for a wider range of large shops and superstores.
For food shopping, Callice Court’s nearest supermarket is Sainsbury’s, just five minutes’ away. The city centre provides a range of supermarkets and convenience stores within 15 minutes’ walk of the property, as well as all the high street banks, and a public library.
