Tell us a little bit about yourself?
My name is Rachel, I’m 19 years old and I’m from a little place near Durham. I’m a Marketing student and fashion, beauty and lifestyle blogger.
If you met me, the first thing you would probably notice is my height.. I’m only 5'1 (if only I had a pound for every time someone called me short!) My favourite things include watching rom com’s (ideally Notting Hill), pizza, iced lattes and bubble baths. I also dream of travelling the world.
If you had to be a London attraction, which one would you be and why?
I think I would be the London eye because seeing that view all the time would be pretty cool.. or maybe Buckingham Palace because I like fancy things.
What’s your choice of snack when lounging around at home?
Oh my goodness, how do I choose just one favourite snack? I love all the snacks! Frozen fruit or hummus and pitta bread if I’m being healthy. Chewy chocolate chip cookies and iced coffee’s when I’m not being so healthy.
Why did you decide to put yourself forward for the ‘London Student Experience’?
London is my favourite place in the world so as soon as I looked into the experience, I was sold! The opportunity to get to visit my favourite place, meet new people and do fun things was something I just simply couldn’t say no to. It makes me so happy that my blog allows me to get involved with things like this!

Tell us a little bit about yourself?
I'm Connor, a 22-year-old student at the University of Exeter, studying French, German and Spanish, fresh from a year abroad spent all over the continent. I like to swim, play the piano, people watch and eat Jaffa Cakes and if there's anything to do with the Mediterranean, I'm probably interested.
If you had to be a London attraction, which one would you be and why?
If I were a London attraction, I would be the Tower of London - mature, interesting and likeable, but still full of intrigue.
What’s your choice of snack when lounging around at home?
Hummus and bananas. But not together.
Why did you decide to put yourself forward for the ‘London Student Experience’?
The London Student Experience sounded like an excellent opportunity to show off my favourite city in the world with other students like me. I love new challenges, and getting together with other like-minded people and sharing ideas, learning new things and working as team was a challenge I was only too happy to take part in.

Hi! I’m Jack, I’m 20 (just), and I’ve just finished my second year studying English Literature at Cambridge University. I love music, singing, travelling, politics, reading, and writing, and I’m very involved in student journalism at university.
If you had to be a London attraction, which one would you be and why?
If I were a London attraction, I’d be the OXO Tower – a little old-fashioned, a little out of the way, not always top of the list, but still pretty cool. That and you’ll always find me near the restaurants and bars…
What’s your choice of snack when lounging around at home?
Choice of snack would have to be a cup of freshly brewed coffee with a pastry of some sort – anything from a pain au chocolate to a maple & pecan Danish pastry, as long as it’s warm.
Why did you decide to put yourself forward for the ‘London Student Experience’?
I put myself forward for the London Student Experience because I love the city, and I love being a student, but I don’t always love my course. I think students should be more aware of what they can do in their city when they’re not working, and I love finding little nooks and crannies. London’s such a huge and beautiful city, with so many different cultures and atmospheres, so I thought it would be great fun to find out some of its secrets and share them with other students.

I'm a 21 Year old Ex English Language and Creative Writing Student. I live in the North of England and I am originally from a village with the oldest castle in Yorkshire. I started The Bearded Blog nearly two years ago, though I haven’t been growing my beard that long. I mainly write about my life, comics and male grooming products.
If you had to be a London attraction, which one would you be and why?
I would be Trafalgar Square because I'd get to see so many people from different walks of life and to me that's pretty cool.
What’s your choice of snack when lounging around at home?
Sweet & salted popcorn
Why did you decide to put yourself forward for the ‘London Student Experience’?
I've only ever been to London once so I thought why not get the student experience and at the same time get to create pieces for those who have never had their own London adventure.

Hi! I’m a 19 year old, fashion, beauty and lifestyle blogger from Nottingham, and I also make YouTube videos. I’m a student at the University of Leeds, where I study English and History, and I’ve just finished my first year. In my spare time I love playing netball as part of the English society team, and reading – like any typical English student. Oh and yes, I am named after the motorbike.
If you had to be a London attraction, which one would you be and why?
I would have to say the Natural History Museum, as I absolutely love history and have done since I was little. I find it really interesting, and the museum covers a lot of different elements, much like my personality.
What’s your choice of snack when lounging around at home?
I’m definitely more a savory girl instead of sweet, so I would have to say a packet of cheese and onion crisps, or some Doritos. Although, I’m trying to be healthy at the minute, so maybe I should say some grapes instead…
Why did you decide to put yourself forward for the ‘London Student Experience’?
I’m always up for meeting new people and trying new things, as I’m quite a confident and bubbly person, so I thought this would be really fun. I also enjoy a challenge, which this will certainly be, and I can’t wait to explore London more and share my experiences with other people!

I'm a 20 year old lover of all things fashion, food and travel! I can't live without at least one holiday a year.
If you had to be a London attraction, which one would you be and why?
Camden Lock! I love the market area, you meet really fun , carefree people with a lot of positive energy.
What’s your choice of snack when lounging around at home?
Always Sweet&Salty popcorn! Currently my favourite brand is Tyrells Poshcorn.
Why did you decide to put yourself forward for the ‘London Student Experience’?
I'm all about new experiences; I think it will be fun to really experience London. I live in London but I don't think I've ever really had a moment to admire it. I think it will be nice to see London in new eyes!

Tell us a little bit about yourself?
Hi there! I’m Jade, 23, and a very recent Media and Communications graduate from the University of Greenwich; I run a lifestyle blog called Sweet Treats and Perfect Pleats, and am the Assistant Film Editor for I’m With Geek. I’m also a dog lover, baking enthusiast, and general foodie!
I’ve interned a lot over the years in a number of different areas including music magazines, fashion companies and publishing houses, but I definitely do have a soft spot for Film & TV. My main goals post-uni are to travel America and Europe, and of course land myself a full-time job in journalism (hopefully based in London).
If you had to be a London attraction, which one would you be and why?
If I was to pick a London attraction that most represents me, I would probably say the Royal Observatory in Greenwich. I have studied at the University of Greenwich for three years now and the area has been a wonderful home to me, filled with amazing memories.
So why would I pick to be this attraction? I’ve always preferred the night to the day and, while I definitely do not claim to be an astronomer, I do have an interest in space. I’ve also been a daydreamer ever since I was little and what better time to let your imagination run wild than when you’re stargazing? The Observatory is just a perfect fit for me.
What’s your choice of snack when lounging around at home?
This is a difficult one because it really varies, but I am partial to a biscuit; I’m a big tea drinker and there’s nothing better than a couple of custard creams or cookies to dunk with it. Whether you’re having a lazy day in bed or working hard on an assignment, they’re the perfect snack.. biscuits can pretty much get you through any situation or stage in life. As a fan of baking, it’s especially nice to make your own too!
Why did you decide to put yourself forward for the ‘London Student Experience’?
The ‘London Student Experience’ is set to be a really exciting and interesting project which allows for a lot of creative initiative and input from its participants, which I think is really important for anyone who wants to work in the creative industries - whether that be in writing, photography, presenting, or anything else!
I’ve studied in this city for the past three years and being in London is an experience like no other, especially for students.
Whether you want to go for a nice dinner, drinks with friends, explore a museum or see the landmarks, London is the perfect place to be; no matter what you want to see or do, you’re never more than a tube or bus ride away. London is my home and I love that I get the chance to promote why it’s such a great city for other students like me.

Alex Hunt

Alex Hunt
Tell us a little bit about yourself?
My name is Alex Hunt and I am recent graduate from Falmouth University where I studied a Film degree. I like to think I am a fun outgoing person but I’m usually at home watching a film or bingeing the latest TV show on Netflix. My love for film made me create my blog a few years ago, Alex’s Essential Movie Blog, which has helped me gain many exciting opportunities, including this one with Unite Students. I’m now currently trying to pursue a career in screenwriting and get my first feature length script get turned into a fully-fledged film!
If you had to be a London Attraction, which one would you be and why?
I would be the London Film Museum, for obvious reasons. It has an amazing amount of cool sets and props from iconic films, such as my personal favourite, Star Wars. They always have new exhibitions as well, so if I was the Museum at least it would never be boring!
What’s your choice of snack when lounging at home?
I was going to say pizza, but that’s more of meal rather than a snack, but I do live for pizza! Chocolate chip cookies are my weakness, especially when they are nice and warm and a bit gooey in the middle, very easy to snack on.
Why did you put yourself forward for the ‘London Student Experience’?
I love to travel, meet new people and try new things and I think the London Student Experience is the perfect opportunity to do all of this. When I first got the email telling me about the trip I couldn’t wait to get involved.

Tell us a little bit about yourself?
I'm a 22 year old freshly-graduated blogger with a penchant for peanut butter and all things sparkly. While originally from Leicestershire, I've just finished an undergraduate degree in French and German at the University of Bristol. As part of my degree, I lived and worked in Germany and Belgium for six months each which left me thoroughly bitten by the travel bug. As a result, I'm about to go off travelling the world (well, as far as my savings will take me) for a few months before facing real life and trying my best to become an actual journalist. My blog, Handbags and Cupcakes, is over five years old now and is essentially a place for me to waffle on about food, travelling, student/funemployed life and anything else I'm up to which I think may be marginally interesting to someone other than just my Dad.
If you had to be a London attraction, which one would you be and why?
Buckingham Palace, because I've always fancied myself as a princess.
What’s your choice of snack when lounging around at home?
Peanut butter with apple slices. Sometimes without apple slices. (Spoon optional.)
Why did you decide to put yourself forward for the ‘London Student Experience’?
I love London! I very nearly went to uni there and it's without a doubt one of my favourite cities in the world so I'm super keen to get a little taster of what it could've been like to live the student lifestyle in the capital. Plus I love meeting new people, I have no other plans (yay unemployment) and it just sounded like a lot of fun.

Tell us a little bit about yourself?
I'm Ruby, an 18 year old studying Management and Marketing at the University of Leeds. In between lectures I write Total Modisch, a blog about fashion, lifestyle, food and anything in between. You'll usually find me listening to music and scrolling through Instagram and you'll never find me wearing heels - I'm tall enough already! I'm a country girl and grew up in the middle of nowhere, but to me there's nothing better than being in a city! Unless we're talking Chinese food and a rom-com, that's the only exception.
If you had to be a London Attraction, which one would you be and why?
Such a tricky question, but one of my favourite places is Somerset House so I guess that's what I would be. It's seen so many London Fashion Weeks and is in walking distance of Covent Garden and the Southbank, some more of my favourite places.
What’s your choice of snack when lounging at home?
It's a classic and it's been done before, but it's got to be chocolate fingers and a cup of tea every time!
Why did you put yourself forward for the ‘London Student Experience’?
It's nothing like I've ever done before! I'm intrigued to see what the challenge involves and I can't wait to share it with everyone. London is one of my favourite places to be, so who wouldn't want to explore it as a student for 24 hours?

Tell us a little bit about yourself?
After taking a gap year (OK, four) to work out what I wanted from University, I finally found my niche while travelling around the world and writing my blog: nammielovestotravelandthings. I'm now studying BA (Hons) Travel Journalism at the University of Brighton, and can usually be found reviewing gigs, drinking coffee and generally being nice to people in my free time.
If you had to be a London attraction, which one would you be and why?
The Shard - quirky and imaginative, with an ambitious streak (and a love for good food).
What’s your choice of snack when lounging around at home?
Dark chocolate and coffee, or some painfully cliched pasta concoction if I'm feeling extra peckish.
Why did you decide to put yourself forward for the ‘London Student Experience’?
I've always loved the city, and jumped at the opportunity to collaborate with fellow creatives to make something great - an experience of London for students, by students. Guides to London are a dime a dozen, however none of them seem to adhere to the student budget! I can't wait to be a part of making the Big Smoke more accessible - particularly with tuition fees as high as they are and the abolishment of the student grant. It'll be a challenge, but I'm sure we'll have fun (and who doesn't like a challenge?!)

Channon Gray

Channon Gray
Tell us a little bit about yourself?
I'm Channon, and yes, my name is spelt wrong. I'm 19 and in September I will enter into my second year at LSE studying Social Anthropology.
When I started university I decided to create a blog, 'Hey there Channon', so that I could document my experiences. However, my blog has now transformed into more of an honest student guide. I write about all things student related, from easy recipes to hauls/DIY tutorials on how to alter (dull) hall rooms.
The move from Cornwall to London last year made me realise my love for the city (although I do miss the beach, a lot).
I like the sea a bit too much, binge watching series on Netflix and trying to squeeze all what I have to say into 140 characters on Twitter. One day I'd like to travel the world alongside a career in Journalism.
If you had to be a London Attraction, which one would you be and why?
If I was a London attraction then I would be the Saatchi gallery. As a lover of all art, the Saatchi contains everything weird and wonderful.
What’s your choice of snack when lounging at home?
Popcorn is definitely my absolute favourite snack, but it has to be sweet and salty combined!
Why did you put yourself forward for the ‘London Student Experience’?
When I got an email offering me the chance to join the 'London Student Experience' I couldn't say no! I cannot wait to meet new people who have the same passion for creativity as what I do. Also, it is pretty cool that my blog has given me an opportunity like this!
