For the thrill of a live game visit Madejski Stadium, home to both Reading FC and the London Irish rugby club. If you fancy getting involved, you’ll be welcomed by the15,000+ runners in the Reading Half Marathon. The University of Reading also has deals for students on gym memberships. And with the Thames – host of the Reading Town Regatta and the Reading University Boat Club – being so accessible from our student accommodation, there’s plenty of riverside action to enjoy.
For a variety of club nights throughout the week – including one of Reading’s best alternative nights, Skint Mondays – head to Sakura. The modern Japanese-inspired décor, combined with some great drink deals make this a very popular student hangout. National favourites like Revolution and Walkabout can also be found in the town centre.
