Do I need to wear a face covering in my building?
It is now a mandatory requirement that everyone wears a face mask in the public areas of our properties, unless you can’t because of medical reasons.
Where you need to wear face masks:
- Reception areas
- Corridors
- Lifts
- Common rooms
- Study spaces
Where you don’t need to wear face masks:
- Your own room
- The shared kitchen and living space in your own flat
- Gyms, if they are open
Why someone might not be wearing a face mask
Some people might not be able to wear a face mask. Please be mindful and respectful in such circumstances. Here are some examples of why someone may not be wearing a face mask:
- Because of a physical or mental illness or impairment, or a disability
- Where putting on, wearing or removing a face covering will cause someone severe distress
- Where someone is speaking to or providing assistance to someone who relies on lip reading, clear sound or facial expressions to communicate
Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.
