  1. Existing customers who refer a friend to Unite Students may, subject to these Terms and Conditions, be entitled to a £250 Amazon voucher when the friend books a room for an academic year or longer in the selected cities and London property named above for the 2017/18 academic year.
  2. This offer applies to existing customers who have a valid 2017/18 tenancy agreement with Unite Students. To qualify for the offer the friend must not currently have a booking in any Unite Students property in the UK.
  3. The voucher is available on a first come first served basis from 8th September 2017 and is subject to availability. There are 100 vouchers available in total across the named cities.

Terms and conditions: Huddersfield pre-sessional offer when booking for 17/18 academic year

  1. Customers who attend a pre-sessional course beginning between June and August 2017 and staying with Unite Students in Huddersfield for a stay of between 9 and 13 weeks will be eligible for one of the following offers;
  • 100% refund of the cost of the 9 to 13 week stay when the customer books a room for an academic year or full year for 2017/18. In order to be eligible for this offer the academic or full year tenancy booking needs to be made within 4 weeks of the pre-sessional tenancy start date and the booking must be confirmed as ‘complete’.
  • 50% refund of the cost of the 9 to 13 week when the customer books a room for an academic year or full year for 2017/18. In order to be eligible for this offer the academic or full year tenancy booking needs to be made after the 4th week of the pre-sessional tenancy start date but before 1st September 2017 and the booking must be confirmed as ‘complete’.
  1. A booking is moved to ‘complete’ when a tenancy has been completed in accordance with its terms and the initial 14 day cancellation period has passed.
  2. The maximum refund will be capped at £1,300 per booking and the refund will be given as a reduction in rent on the final payment instalment of the 2017/18 Academic/Full year tenancy agreement.
  3. The promotion will only be applied to new customers and cannot be applied retrospectively to customers who have already booked. 
  4. The free pre-sessional offer will only be available to customers taking up occupancy within 7 days of the pre sessional tenancy start date and who complete their pre-sessional tenancy with Unite Students .

Short stays and Summer stays 2017

  1. Short stays or ‘short term lets’ and summer stays may be available in some Unite Students properties in a limited number of cities. 
  2. The length of stay available may vary by city and by property.
  3. The short stay price may also vary by city and by property and will be charged at a fixed weekly rate. It will cover rent for the duration of the stay (as agreed), high speed Wi-Fi access and all electricity, heating and water bills. Basic contents insurance is also included in the price.
  4. VAT may apply on the short stay price depending on the length of the booking agreed. The total gross value of your booking, including VAT, will be advised at the time of booking.
  5. Payment can be made in full or can be paid in monthly instalments dependent upon the length of the booking. Customers will be required to pay a deposit upon booking. The deposit amount may vary dependent on the length of the stay booked. Deductions may be made from the deposit if any damages are caused by the customer or if their account is in arrears.
  6. Existing customers do not have to make a payment for their summer stay until 5 days before the summer agreement begins. If a customer books their summer stay less than 5 days before the summer agreement begins they will have to make a payment at the time of booking. 
  7. Customers will be provided with a contract (Licence for Occupation) once their booking has been accepted by Unite Students. This will contain our full Terms and Conditions, details of the licence period, price, payment schedule and cancellation policy.

Book a flat 2017/18

If you book a flat as a group of 3 or more with Unite Students for the 2017/18 academic year you will save £100 each off your rent.

Each group member’s individual booking will then be processed and individual tenancy terms and conditions will be sent to each group member and their guarantor. Online acceptance must be completed within 7 days of the offer being made.

No place no pay

  1. Prospective first year students who have applied to attend a University or a Higher Education Institution in any of the cities in which Unite Students operates, with entry in September 2017, and who book a room with Unite Students, will be eligible to be released from their Tenancy Agreement if, as a result of not achieving the required A-Level, Scottish Higher (or equivalent) results, they do not gain a place at their chosen university.
  2. Only new customers, who have never lived with Unite Students, are eligible to receive this offer. The offer will be available until all rooms the subject of this offer have been booked or until Unite Students confirms the offer is no longer available, whichever is the earlier.
  3. Subject to rooms being available, customers will automatically become eligible for this offer if they are applying for university entry for September 2017 and book a room directly with Unite Students for the 2017/18 academic year. Rooms can be booked online at www.unitestudents.com, by calling the Unite Students National Contact Centre on 0300 303 8645, or at a Unite Students property.
  4. If a customer does not gain a place at their chosen University or College and wishes to be released from their Tenancy Agreement, they must provide Unite Students with evidence of their withdrawal no later than 7 days after their exam results day. Customers waiting for Scottish Higher (SQA) results, released on 9 August 2017, must provide evidence by 8:00pm on 16 August 2017. Customers waiting for A-Level (GCE) or equivalent results, released on 18 August 2017, must provide evidence by 8:00pm on 25 August 2017. This offer is no longer valid once the tenancy start date has passed.
  5. Evidence can be a written rejection letter from the University/College/UCAS, proof the required results were not achieved, or a screen shot of the customer’s UCAS status. Evidence can be emailed to uscancellations@unitestudents.com or posted to Cancellation Requests, Unite Students, South Quay House, Temple Back, Bristol, BS1 6FL.
  6. All customers who do not apply to be released from their Tenancy Agreement by the stated cut-off date and in accordance with the conditions set out above will be bound by the terms and conditions and cancellation policy set out in the Tenancy Agreement.
  7. This offer is also available to prospective first year students who have met and exceeded the conditions of their firm choice but have chosen to go through the UCAS adjustment process to reconsider where and what to study. These customers will be eligible to be released from their Tenancy Agreement if they provide evidence of application to the Adjustment process and acceptance into a different University. Evidence must be provided by 8:00pm on 25 August 2017.

No visa no pay

  4. If a customer does not gain their required UK Student Visa and wishes to be released from their Tenancy Agreement, they must provide Unite Students with evidence of their declined visa application no later than 8:00pm on 25 August 2017.
