Make yourself at home

Harry French Court is located on a split site, on either side of Ashby Road, just 200 metres from campus. Harry French is a relaxed and friendly close-knit community, set in gardens and ideally situated for students who want to be near both town and campus. It’s just a five minute walk from the student union and you’ll have great transport links, with a bus stop outside your door and easy access to lots of peaceful green spaces.
Here you'll find plenty of information on what you'll find in your new home and the surrounding area, as well as important information on check-in day, specific to your property.

Facilities at Harry French Court

Our friendly reception will be open between 10am - 6pm Monday to Friday. 
Common room
The common room has a pool table, table tennis, table football and a TV.
Laundry facilities
There are 3 laundry rooms, one in the Courtyard, one in East Grove and one next to Tynte. Machines are operated through the MyUnite app.
Outside space
Harry French Court has a large outside space with seating and BBQ areas perfect for meeting up with friends – weather permitting!
There is parking available at Harry French court. Please speak to the reception team for any local parking facilities or your University for on campus parking.
Bike storage
Bike storage is available at Harry French Court – if you are planning on bringing your bike then please remember to bring your own bike lock.
Recycling facilities are available at Harry French Court.
Fire Test Day
Fire alarms are fitted throughout the property. Your fire alarm test day is Monday between 10:30am - 12pm. Your fire assembly point is located at the front of the courtyard building, behind Eastgrove, on the grass area in front of the Holt reception building, and in the car park area in front of Tynte House.
Key Type
You will receive a key or key card on arrival at the property, which you can use to access your room and communal areas.

Where do I collect my key?

You will need to go to Reception to check-in. Once you have checked in you will receive your key in the form of a key or key card.

Where can I park and unload my car?

Parking is available on site for unloading and is limited to 40 minutes. After unloading you will be directed to other car parks.

When can I move in?

You can check in at any point from the start date of your tenancy. You can find your tenancy start date in your tenancy agreement or by logging into MyAccount here.
If you are going to be arriving much later than the start of your tenancy, just let us know and we will arrange for someone to be there to greet you and make sure you get the keys to your new home. If you are planning to move in outside of our reception opening hours, please contact our emergency contact centre on 0300 303 1611.
