Rosalind Franklin Hall is situated in an ideal city centre location, perfect to make the most of student life in Portsmouth and just a few minutes’ walk from Portsmouth and Southsea railway station. Rosalind Franklin Hall’s great location means you have easy access to popular student areas such as Guildhall Walk, Gunwharf Quays Retail Outlet and restaurants, bars and café’s. It's within 2 minutes’ walk of the University main campus and close to the city’s main shopping centre.

Facilities at Rosalind Franklin Hall

Reception
Our friendly reception will be open Monday to Friday between 8am - 8pm and 9am - 5pm Saturday.
Common Room
The common room is next to reception and features a pool table and Smart TV.
Laundry Facilities
There are two laundry rooms at Rosalind Franklin Hall. Machines are operated through the MyUnite app.
Outside Space
There is seating available on two outside podiums.
Parking
There is no parking available at Rosalind Franklin Hall.
Bike Storage
The bike store is located in the lower ground floor of the building and can be accessed from the street. A Key/Pass will be required for access. If you are planning on bringing your bike then please remember to bring your own bike lock.
Recycling
Recycling facilites are available at Rosalind Franklin Hall.
Fire Test Day
Fire alarms are fitted throughout the property. Your fire alarm test day is Wednesday at 10am. Your fire assembly point is outside King Henry Building, located at the end of the road opposite the front doors of Rosalind Franklin Hall.
Key Type
You will receive a key card on arrival at the property, which you can use to access your room and communal areas.

Our Emergency Contact Centre is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Just call 0300 303 1611 for assistance.

Where do I collect my key?

You will need to go to Reception to check-in. Once you have checked in you will receive your key in the form of a key card.

Where can I park and unload my car?

Drop off points will be available outside the building in 20 minute windows. For longer parking there is an NCP multi-storey nearby and multiple paid car parks across the city.

When can I move into Rosalind Franklin Hall?

You can check in at any point from the start date of your tenancy. You can find your tenancy start date in your tenancy agreement or by logging into MyAccount here.
If you are going to be arriving much later than the start of your tenancy, just let us know and we will arrange for someone to be there to greet you and make sure you get the keys to your new home. If you are planning to move in outside of our reception opening hours, please contact our emergency contact centre on 0300 303 1611.
