Perfect for students who are based at the University of Reading London Road Campus, Kendrick Hall is located directly opposite the campus. Reading city centre is also just ten minutes away, providing everything that a student may need. The River Kennet, which runs directly through Reading, provides a lovely atmosphere to shop, eat and drink as well as enjoy what the city's vibrant nightlife has to offer.
Here you'll find plenty of information on what you'll find in your new home and the surrounding area, as well as important information on check-in day, specific to your property.

Facilities at Kendrick Hall

Our friendly reception will be open Monday - Saturday 8am - 8pm.
Common Room
Our common room has vending machines, a football table, study area, book shelf, toilet, sofas and TV.
Laundry Facilities
The laundry room is at the main reception so students can access this 24 hours a day. Machines are operated through the MyUnite app.
Outside Space
Kendrick Hall features two courtyard spaces with some outdoor activities including table tennis and basketball.
There is very limited parking space available (10 spaces) at Kendrick Hall. This is available on a first come first serve basis. Prices are: £20pw on a yearly basis (43 weeks) or £25pw on a termly basis. For more information and availability, please contact reception.
Bike Storage
There are three open bike sheds and one lockable shed on the Kendrick Hall site - if you are planning on bringing your bike then please remember to bring your own bike lock.
Recycling facilities are available at Kendrick Hall. Please take care not to contaminate with different types of refuse. 
Fire Test Day
Fire alarms are fitted throughout the property. Your fire alarm test day is Wednesday at 1pm. Your fire assembly point is located just outside property reception.
Key Type
You will receive a key card on arrival at the property, which you can use to access your room and communal areas.
Our Emergency Contact Centre is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Just call 0300 303 1611 for assistance.

Where do I collect my key?

You will need to go to Reception to check-in. Once you have checked in you will receive your key in the form of a key card.

Where can I park and unload my car?

On check-in day, students are invited to use the car park located opposite our site free of charge for a limited time. This will only be available on check in day. Students arriving over the weekend are welcome to park on site (dependent on availability) for a maximum of 2 hours.

When can I move in?

You can move in at any point between the start of your tenancy and up to four weeks later. Got an Android or iOS phone? Tell us when you plan to arrive in the free MyUnite app.
Download the app, select Check-in day from the main menu, and choose your preferred date and time. Not sure when your tenancy starts? Your start date is displayed in the app as you go through this process.
Need to change your arrival date or time? Just go back to the app and edit your choices. And don't worry if you get delayed on moving day, we’ll get you settled whenever you arrive.
