About Birmingham

What can you look forward to in Birmingham?

null Students

Living with us in the UK's second largest city puts you right among the 65,000 students from Birmingham’s five universities: Aston University, the University of Birmingham, Birmingham City University, Newman University and University College Birmingham, giving you some fantastic opportunities for studying, socialising and success.

null Sporting spotlights

The Olympic legacy lives on in Birmingham with the National Indoor Arena (NIA) having hosted a number of events at the 2012 games, and remaining one of Europe’s leading indoor sporting venues with over 30 sports on offer. Visiting Villa Park – home to the founders of the English Football League, Aston Villa – is a must for football fans.  And you can keep fit in comfort as some of our Birmingham student accommodation is also home to a free gym!

null Evening entertainment

Four floors and nine bars make PRYSM Birmingham one of the top nightspots for students. For variety, take a stroll along Broad Street most evenings and pop into any of the numerous bars and clubs on offer. Classy cocktails and rock ‘n’ roll music make for an unforgettable night at the award-winning Island Bar. And with our properties being so close to the universities, why not see what night-time fun you can have on campus?

null Foodie focus

As the city that gave the world HP Sauce, Bournville cocoa and Bird’s Custard, Birmingham serves up a range of treats to tickle all taste buds.  Familiar favourites like Nando’s and Pizza Express are easy to get to from our student accommodation in Birmingham. Lovers of Asian food should head over to the famous Balti triangle. Caribbean cuisine is deliciously delivered at the 24 Carat Bistro. Or for some mouth-watering British fare check out Urban Pie.

null Culture corners

You’ll have some of the country’s most popular attractions on your doorstep when you live in our Birmingham student flats. Between 2010 and 2011 Birmingham Hippodrome Theatre welcomed over half a million visitors, making it the most popular single theatre in the UK. On Victoria Square you will find ‘The River’, one of the largest fountains in Europe. Littered throughout one of the UK’s cleanest cities you’ll also find a wide variety of cinemas, museums and picnic spots.
