One of three sister properties, The Rackhay is located on the harbourside and boasts a spacious study room, common room with pool and ping pong tables and a cinema room.  Students have access to communal facilities across all three sites. Close to all main bus services for UWE campuses and a 16-minute walk to University of Bristol, The Rackhay is ideal for students. If that wasn't enough, the Rackhay is also close to vibrant nightlife, pubs, clubs and restaurants including The Apple, Aqua Italia and The Glass Boat.

Facilities at The Rackhay

Our friendly reception will be open Monday to Sunday 8am - 8pm. 
Common Room
The Rackhay has a common room which includes a TV, table football, pool table, ping pong table, sofas, cinema room and separate study room.
Laundry Facilities
The laundry room is located on the fourth floor. Machines are operated through the MyUnite app.
Outside Space
The property is on the Harbourside – there is plenty of seating along the waterfront.
There is no parking available on site throughout the year. There is an NCP car park underneath Waverley House (opposite The Rackhay) and on street parking available outside of the property.
Bike Storage
Bike storage is available at The Rackhay – if you are planning on bringing your bike then please remember to bring your own bike lock. 
Students are provided with recycling bins in their flats, common rooms and in the bin store. Please take care not to contaminate with different types of refuse.
Fire Test Day
Fire alarms are fitted throughout the property. Your fire alarm test day is Tuesday at 1pm. Your fire assembly point is located at the war memorial on the Welshback. 
Key Type
You will receive a key card on arrival at the property, which you can use to access your room and communal areas.

Important information for check-in day at The Rackhay

Where do I collect my key?

You will need to go to Reception to check-in. Once you have checked in you will receive your key in the form of a key card.

Where can I park and unload my car?

Parking is located onsite as a 10 minute drop off service. As parking is limited, customers are asked to unload and then move their car to NCP, Queen Charlotte Street, Bristol BS1 4ES.

When can I move into The Rackhay?

You can check in at any point from the start date of your tenancy. You can find your tenancy start date in your tenancy agreement or by logging into MyAccount here.
You will be required to book an arrival slot through the University of Bristol website, the university will be in contact about this. If you are going to be arriving much later than the start of your tenancy, just let us know and we will arrange for someone to be there to greet you and make sure you get the keys to your new home. If you are planning to move in outside of our reception opening hours, please contact our emergency contact centre on 0300 303 1611
