Social Scenes
One of the main places which students hang out in Aberdeen is the University of Aberdeen Student's Union. It's just a few minutes walk away from King Street Exchange, and here you will find The Union Bar. A great place to meet at all times of the day, and especially before a night out!  The Union Bar hosts many different themed nights, comedy gigs and live music. And inside the bar you will find a pool table,, a jukebox and many different game machines. And with great drinks offers for you to take advantage of, this truly is the social hub of the university.
King Street Exchange is also just a short walk into the centre of Aberdeen where you will find a range of great bars, pubs and student-friendly nightclubs. For the shop-a-holics, Beach Boulevard Retail Park is a short bus journey away, and here you will find many shops to wander around with your friends, as well as a large supermarket.
King Street Exchange is in a fantastic location as it's so central, everything you need is nearby.
There are many popular venues and social hotspots near the property. The Bobbin, Aberdeen's favourite student pub is just down the road from King Street Exchange. Students love it for its cheap drinks, pub food and live Sky Sports.
From King Street Exchange, you can walk down to Duthie Park or also head down to the beach. At the beach you will find Queens Links Leisure Park (fairgrounds), where there is a carnival, a cinema, many restaurants and also a sandy beach, which is great place to have a BBQ with friends in the summer!
For those times that you need to just take a walk and get some fresh air, there are some stunning local trails which you can follow near King Street Exchange: Castle Trail, Costal Trail and also the Victorian Hetitage Trail.
Getting Active
If you're into sport, then Aberdeen is a great place to live. The Aberdeen Sports Village is a 10 minute walk from King Street Exchange. It is one of the leading sports facilities in the region.
There are many gyms nearby the property so there are no excuses to not keep active!  There are also many fitness facilities on campus at Robert Gordon University.
Aberdeen Football Club's Pittodrie Stadium is on Pittodrie Street, just off King Street where King Street Exchange is.

King Street Exchange is located at the corner of King Street and School Road, a stone’s throw from the University of Aberdeen and a short bus ride to The Robert Gordon University at Garthdee. King Street is the main road into the town centre, meaning King Street Exchange's residents can walk or hop on a bus straight down the road to all the town’s shops and restaurants.
Aberdeen’s train station and bus depot, located in the heart of the city, offers regular services to Glasgow, Edinburgh and many more locations across the country.
Local Essentials
From King Street Exchange, a 10 minute walk will get you to large supermarkets, small corner shops, the Post Office, pharmacies, takeaway restaurants, hairdressing salons, bakeries and more!
A 20 minute walk into town (or a 5 minute bus journey) will take you to Union Street which is one of the main streets in Aberdeen, where there are many shops and banks. Belmost Street is another popular area which is located just off of Union Street. Here you will find cosy coffee shops, restaurants, bistros, book shops, pubs and clubs.
The University of Aberdeen library is located on campus, not far away from King Street Exchange, just off King Street.
