Prioritising safety

We don’t just want you to be secure. We want you to feel secure. We know from experience that there’s no easy, one-size-fits-all formula for this: every building’s different and requires its own combination of security features, on-site assistance, remote support and emergency procedures. Above all, we know that effective security is not a one-off exercise: it requires sustained commitment and has to be a part of everyone’s job.

Keeping our properties secure

Security is built into the design of all our accommodation, including CCTV and secure access to buildings, flats and rooms. We’ve also recently started working with Secured by Design, a national police initiative, focused on promoting best practice in the design and security of new buildings and renovations.

Round-the-clock assistance

We check all our security measures regularly to make sure everything’s working as it should and our in-house team of maintenance professionals are on hand to fix anything that goes wrong. You’ll also have access to our 24-hour, 365 days contact centre.

Fire safety

Independent fire safety experts and local fire authorities are also closely involved when we design or refit one of our buildings. Based on their recommendations, every property has its own set of fire safety features and procedures which we communicate to students and test regularly.
Builders checking plans

Being there for our students 24/7 means you get approached for all kinds of reasons. This can range from parcel collections to maintenance issues. It’s important that students know they can come to you with any question or issue, big or small.
