There’s plenty for you to do while you’re living in our student accommodation in Poole. The Quay is the largest natural harbour in Europe and attracts many visitors all year round, so there will be lots of new people for you to meet. Equally popular are the golden sandy beaches which have been awarded the European Blue Flag for cleanliness and safety more times than any other British seaside resort.

There is a leisure centre opposite our student flats, with gym and swimming facilities. A cricket field and pavilion at the eastern end of Poole Park are home to Poole Town Cricket Club, and water sport activities such as sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and rowing take place on the large lake.

If you’re looking for an eclectic mix of music with a wide range of drinks to try, head over to The Penthouse, one of Poole’s leading nightspots. Offering free entry before midnight, a range of discounts on drinks and a variety of music from dance classics to dub step, this high street club is an ideal place for students to relax and meet new people. Other popular student nightlife not far from our student accommodation includes: Yates’s Poole, The Brit and a range of places in neighbouring Bournemouth.

Whether you’ve spent the day studying in the library or surfing at the seaside you’ll be glad to know that there are plenty of places for you to refuel in Poole. A short walk from our student accommodation in Poole to the Quayside will present you with a huge variety of national and international cuisine to enjoy, including tasty Thai treats at the Siam Thai Restaurant, marvellous Mexican meals at Mambo, and amazing American fare at Penn Central. Tower Park is only a 15-minute drive away and offers a variety of restaurants such as Nando’s, KFC and TGI Friday’s.

Lighthouse is Poole’s Centre for Arts, and is well worth a visit while you are staying in the town. Poole is also home to the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra which is recognised as one of the UK’s top orchestras and its members have worked with some of the world’s leading composers and conductors. For a free and interactive day out, Poole Museum has plenty on offer. Or if you just fancy some time to clear your head with a wander through the woodland, Branksome Chine Gardens offers some stunning sea views from its coastal paths.
