As part of our Unite Against Loneliness campaign, student writer Kacey talks about how her friend is so supportive.

My friend and I go to different universities, so most of our conversations are via online messaging. It’s convenient as we can get to each other quickly.

They were a consistent presence with me when I was having a rough month, always there when I needed them, no matter what the time was. It definitely helped knowing they were only a text message away.

I’m an undergraduate at the university, studying Music and Music Technology. For the most part, I’m writing a zombie book or one about an amnesiac with powers. Sometimes I’ll play the drums if I have the time and a kit to play on. Though sometimes I just sit around and read fiction or scroll through social media endlessly.
