Going out isn’t the only way to have fun – there are plenty of other things you could be doing instead of spending all of that money in a club.

Having a night in will not only lighten the burden on your bank account but will also help you bond with your flatmates.

There are tons of fun ways to have a good time without having to leave your flat.

Here are my top five ways to have fun without leaving the flat!

1) Workout at home

This may not sound like fun but you could definitely turn a boring workout routine into a fun pastime if you do it with your flatmates. It will encourage you to stay in shape and will help you feel more comfortable around your mates.

It’s a great way to bond and have a good time without leaving the house. What’s more, it’s free!

2) Do some crafts

There are tons of fun ways to have a good time without having to leave your flat.

You could look for some fun ideas online – I would recommend YouTube or Pinterest in particular. It won’t take you long to find easy and inexpensive things to make at home with your flatmates.

Once you’ve unleashed your creativity and made some funky designs, you could use them to decorate your flat and make it feel cozy.

3) Organise a movie night

A movie night (or even marathon) is a tried and tested way of having a good time without going out. Don’t worry, you can bond with your flatmates without having to talk – watching a movie together can be just as good as having a conversation.

If you really want to, you could discuss the film after it’s finished.

4) Cook together

Cooking with your flatmates can be extremely fun! Aside from being productive, you could have a great time by blasting some music and having a cook-off.

You could even teach each other traditional recipes from your home countries or cities. It’s a great way to get to know your neighbours and their cultures better.

5) Have a games night

Organising a games night is the perfect way to create a fun atmosphere and bond with your flatmates. You could either play board games or video games – there are plenty of different games you could explore and maybe even teach your friends some traditional games from your home country.

What’s even better is that you could introduce some alcohol into the mix!

Put a fresh spin on it

There are tons of fun ways to have a good time without having to leave your flat. Just let your imagination run wild and try coming up with original twists on the already well-established ideas for a night in.
