Living with uS: Getting online

Living with Unite Students includes access to up to fast and reliable Wi-Fi as part of your room across all our properties.

In this guide, we’ll explain how you can connect devices such as smartphones, laptops and gaming consoles to the Wi-Fi, whether you're in the common room, study area or your bedroom.

The Wi-Fi in your home is provided by either Glide or ASK4, unless it is provided by your university. You’ll be given further information on your internet provider before you arrive, as well as information which can be found in your room when you check in. 

How to register with Glide 

Glide provides the broadband at many of our properties across the UK. To get online with Glide you just need to search for uS-Glide on your device and enter your Unite Students account details to get full access to Wifi.

Once you’ve logged in for the first time, you may be asked to log in again if you’re ever disconnected from the internet for a longer period of time. This helps keep your account secure and ensures that no one else is benefiting from the services that you have paid for without your knowledge.

You can upgrade your existing account at any time. You can also upgrade to access broadcast quality TV on your laptop. The good news is ViewCom standard is free, but you can also sign up for Sky Sports and more! 

How to register with ASK4

Our other broadband provider is ASK4. To get online with ASK4 go here to follow their sign up process. 

Once you’re registered, it’s easy to add new devices by logging into your ASK4 account and clicking ‘Enable this device’. 

If you’re looking for quicker internet speed and your add-on options, upgrading is simple by going to your ASK4 Myaccount
