Chantry Court is situated just off Park Street, one of Bristol’s most vibrant streets packed full of restaurants, bars, shops and cafés. The street is very popular with students due to its proximity to the University of Bristol.
Popular venues on Park Street include Yia Mass, Goldbrick House, The Elbow Room, Java, and Agora as well as restaurants like Nando's, Gourmet Burger Kitchen and Pizza Express.
There are many more restaurants, bars and clubs on The Triangle, just five minutes’ walk from Chantry Court at the top of Park Street. The Triangle’s bars and clubs host student nights throughout the year at venues including Mbargo, Lizard Lounge and The Bunker.
The Harbourside is found at the foot of Park Street and has a number of waterfront bars and restaurants including BSB, The Stable, ZaZa Bazaar, Pitcher and Piano and Pryzm, formerly Oceana.
Cabot Circus and Broadmead offer over 500 shops, restaurants, cafés and entertainment outlets. The area also has a Showcase Cinema De Lux and Odeon, which can be walked to in less than 10 minutes from Chantry Court.
The city benefits from numerous green expanses, perfect for picnics, sunbathing or recreational sport, including Castle Park in the city centre just two minutes from Cabot Circus. Castle Park also hosts numerous events throughout the year, including the popular festival Love Saves The Day.
The Clifton Downs are found at the top of Whiteladies Road and Blackboy Hill, close to the University of Bristol, and host a range of university sports clubs and local sports teams. Ashton Court is a country park with 850 acres of woodland and grassland, and is also home to local events such as the world famous Bristol International Balloon Fiesta.
Queen Square is a small city centre park framed by cobbled streets, found just off Baldwin Street and within 10 minutes’ of Chantry Court.
Chantry Court is also close to many great live music venues, just minutes from the 02 Academy and other popular places like The Fleece which is within 10 minutes’ walk.
The city is also home to a range of great museums and exhibitions including; the M Shed, the Arnolfini, Bristol Museum and Art Gallery, which are all within 15 minutes’ walk of the property. There are also many local venues hosting international live comedy, theatre and music tours, including Colston Hall, Bristol Hippodrome and the Old Vic, all just a short walk from Chantry Court.
Getting Active
Chantry Court is just five minutes’ walk from the University of Bristol, so all the sports and gym facilities of the campus are within easy reach. UWE’s campus facilities can be reached via the university bus which runs from right outside the property.
The city centre location of Chantry Court means you have access to a range of local gyms and sports clubs. Pure Gym (Harbourside), Fitness4Less and The Gym Bristol are all within 10 minutes’ walk of the property. There are numerous other gyms and facilities within walking distance of the property, to which the property team will be happy to direct you.
Sports fans can catch local teams in action, with Bristol City Football Club located in Ashton Gate just a short bus journey from the city centre, or a 40-minute walk. Bristol Rovers FC are found up the Gloucester Road, whilst local Rugby and Cricket teams offer a great range of options. Bath is just 10 minutes’ away on the train, for further sports facilities and professional teams.

Travel and Transport
Bristol Temple Meads train station is just 15 minutes’ walk from Chantry Court. The station provides easy access to cities across the UK such as London, Birmingham and Manchester, as well as neighbouring Bath and Cheltenham.
Bristol’s coach station is situated on Marlborough Street, just 10 minutes’ walk from the property. Megabus operate a nationwide, cost effective coach service from just outside Colston Hall on Colston Street, a couple of minutes from Chantry Court.
Bristol Airport is located just outside the city and can be easily accessed via hourly buses from the city centre, or a short taxi ride. The airport offers good value flights, particularly useful for European city breaks or internal flights to the north of England.
Local Essentials
Chantry Court’s city centre location means you have a wealth of amenities in the local area. There are many convenience stores and supermarkets within walking distance of the property, including a Tesco Express on Park Street.
The Triangle is home to Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Wilkinsons, so you can get all the essentials without having to walk too far.
A range of high street banks are available just 10 minutes’ walk away in the Broadmead shopping area. The Galleries shopping centre, less than 10 minutes’ walk from the property, has a large post office, plus useful stores such as Boots, Family Bargains and Wilkinsons.
Should you wish to shop at a bigger supermarket, there is a Tesco megastore located on the M32, five minutes’ drive from Chantry Court, plus a large IKEA.
Your Wellbeing
University of Bristol and UWE offer their students on-site medical care. Students can find details of how to make an appointment via their university website, although the team at Chantry Court will be happy to point you in the right direction.
The University of Bristol can be reached in around five minutes’ walk from the property, and UWE’s campuses can be reached in around 20 minutes on the university bus services.
Aside from campus facilities The Bristol Royal Infirmary (BRI) can be reached in a 10-minute walk. The BRI is a teaching hospital and has close links with the University of Bristol, offering experience to many local medical students.
