With 24/7 access through the Health Assured app and helpline, you’ll always have expert support at your fingertips throughout your time at university.

Only the information you choose to give your student welfare team - and only if you’re happy for it to be shared. You can also speak directly to Health Assured if you prefer.
Your referral is sent directly to Health Assured. A trained advisor or counsellor will contact you within the agreed timeframe to discuss your situation and guide you through available support options.
Your data is used solely to provide SAP services and is kept confidential within secure systems. Health Assured’s privacy notice explains this in detail. Your student welfare team will have their own privacy notices too.
Only whether:
Support has been put in place
Support was declined or not suitable
Health Assured was unable to reach you
No personal details or conversation notes are shared.
Confidentiality is protected unless there is:
Risk of harm to yourself or others
Safeguarding concerns involving children or vulnerable adults
Serious risk on‑site, or a situation where public interest overrides confidentiality
In these cases, only essential information is shared with appropriate services.
No. Health Assured won’t contact you without your consent. You can choose to call them directly instead. If you change your mind after consenting, just contact Health Assured or your welfare team to stop the referral.
