New Cross is a vibrant student area with Goldsmith's University and Students’ Union just minutes from Ewen Henderson Court. New Cross has a choice of bars and pubs, a lively music scene, and is often referred to as ‘the new Shoreditch’.
The area has a rich music history and is the birthplace of bands like Blur and Bloc Party. Whether you’re looking for live music, comedy at the Amersham Arms, or a quiet drink at the Royal Albert pub, you’ll have a great night out.
Old Kent Road is a short walk or bus trip away for a great choice of Indian, Chinese and Vietnamese restaurants. Nearby Lewisham is a great place to indulge in some retail therapy and Deptford film club is the perfect place to watch classic movies, foreign language films and arthouse cinema.
The popular student areas of Shoreditch and Hoxton are a short journey away on the overground line with everything you need to make the most of student living in London.
Students at Ewen Henderson Court have a number of parks and green spaces close by. Fordham Park is a four-minute walk away, or head up to Telegraph Hill Park for tennis courts, ponds, a skate park, farmers' markets and fantastic views across St Paul’s, the London Eye and the Palace of Westminster.
London docklands are just a few minutes’ journey from the property for Canary Wharf and Canada Water. Greenwich Park is just 15 minutes away on the 177 bus, and has impressive views across the River Thames and the City of London. The park has plenty of places to eat, is home to The Old Royal Observatory Planetarium and was the venue for Olympic and Paralympic Equestrian events in 2012.
Ewen Henderson Court is a 13-minute tube journey from London Bridge station for attractions such as The Shard, Tower Bridge, Tate Modern, HMS Belfast and the Tower of London.
Borough Market, a famous food market with over 100 fruit, vegetable and butcher stalls is just a 15-minute journey from the property and is one of the oldest and largest markets in London.

Travel and Transport
Located in Zone 2, Ewen Henderson Court is just three minutes’ walk from New Cross Gate overground station for trains to Crystal Palace, Canada Water, Shoreditch, Hoxton, London Bridge and Highbury and Islington.
The area is served by a number of bus routes. For buses to King's College London Waterloo and Strand campuses, the 171 and 172 services take just 30 minutes. 
King's College London Denmark Hill campus can be reached in less than 30 minutes on the 436, and the Guy’s campus can be reached in 11 minutes with an overground train to London Bridge.
The 171 bus goes to Elephant & Castle, Waterloo station and Holborn (for central London universities). You can catch the 21 to Borough, London Bridge, Bank and Old Street. The 53 route provides buses 24 hours a day to Westminster Bridge and Horse Guards Parade. You can reach Hyde Park Corner, Marble Arch, Victoria station and Paddington station on the 436, and the night bus N343 runs to and from Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden and Somerset House.
Local Essentials
There is a large Sainsbury’s superstore just five minutes’ walk from Ewen Henderson Court, just past New Cross Gate. Sainsbury’s also has a petrol station and convenience store outside New Cross Gate station.
There are a number of local shops and supermarkets on New Cross Road, just two minutes’ walk from the property, including an Iceland supermarket. New Cross Road also has a great choice of restaurants, takeaways, hairdressers and dry cleaners.
