At Dorset House you could not be better placed to spend your days as a student. There are many great bars, pubs and local interests close by.  Student favourites include The Bridge bar on Hythe Bridge Street, Atomic Burger and Las Iguanas on Park End Street.

There are many fascinating Oxford tourism hotspots like museums, towers and monuments many of which are free – so take advantage of everything Oxford has to offer. If it’s sunny then why not go punting or take a relaxing river cruise? Or why not climb to the top of one of Oxford’s towers and witness the breath-taking views!
Getting Active
Oxford Brookes University Centre for Sports is on the Headington Campus and offers many activities and facilities to keep you fit. It’s facilities include a gym, indoor climbing wall, basketball court and outdoor hockey and football pitches. 

Close and convenient

Travel and Transport
All Oxford Brookes Students living with us are entitled to a FREE bus pass. To apply for your pass visit the OBU website to register. Buses travel regularly from two stops within 100 yards of the property. 
Oxford train station is around a 20 minute drive subject to the traffic.
Bike Shelters are also located around Dorset house, If you would like to store your bike here for the year please come to reception to get your Fob Key programmed.
There is no parking available at Dorset House.
Local Essentials
Headington High Street is a five minute walk from Dorset House and offers Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose and Iceland supermarkets.
You will find Barclays and Lloyds banks on the London Road.
Your Wellbeing
Oxford Brookes has a wellbeing centre at Headington Hill offering councelling services, disability and dyslexia service and a chaplaincy.
The Medical Centre is on the Gypsy Lane site and dental care is provided by Studental on the Headington Hill Campus.
