German Christmas Market
One of the most popular events in the city's calendar, the German Christmas Market attracts visitors from far and wide to sample its festive delights.
Beer lovers are spoilt for choice with over 300 pubs in the area. Keep an eye out for local brews courtesy of Bath Ales, Abbey Ales and new kid on the block, Electric Bear.
You can't call yourself a true Bathonian until you've cheered on the local team at the Rec!
The perfect place to stop off and enjoy the atmosphere, the Royal Victoria Park is located next to the beautiful Royal Crescent.
There's plenty of affordable ways to get around Bath using public transport. First Group Buses operate around the city and, if you're travelling further afield, Oldfield Park and Bath Spa train stations make connecting with cities like London and Bristol simple. It's easy to travel abroad from Bath too, with Bristol Airport under an hour away.
Bath is a great city for shopping, with plenty of independent shops and boutiques as well as national chains. You'll find all the big brand names, including H&M, Superdry and Topshop, in the Southgate area, situated next to Bath Spa Train Station. There's plenty of choice when it comes to food shopping too, with Waitrose and Sainsburys' supermarkets located in the centre of town, and Lidl and Marks & Spencer Food outlets right next to your accommodation.
