Information for check-in day

Where do I collect my key?

You will receive a room key and post box key on arrival at reception, which you can use to access your room and communal areas.

Where can I park and unload my car?

There is no on-site parking available for check-in but you can unload belongings for 10 minutes.

When can I move in?

You can check in at any point from the start date of your tenancy. You can find your start date in your tenancy agreement or by logging into MyAccount here.

Common room
Chalmers Street has a common room located just off the main reception which has a seating area, pool table, PS4, TV, DVD player and vending machines.

Study space
There is a study area next to the common room with a HD monitor and HD wall points, that can be used for presentations. Printing facilities and a lending library can also be found here.

Laundry facilities
The laundry room is located next to the common room. You’ll need to download the Circuit Plus app to be able to access the laundry machines.

Outside space
There are two courtyard spaces at Chalmers Street. One is a grassed area and the other has decking and seating. We also have picnic benches and table tennis. At the rear of the property there is another grassed area with a raised planting bed.

Parking
There is no parking available in front of the property. There is metered street parking on Chalmers Street and a Q-Park car park around the corner on Simpson Loan (EH3 9GF).

Bike storage
Indoor bike storage is available at Chalmers Street on the ground floor of 36 Block. If you are planning on bringing your bike, please remember to bring your own bike lock.

Recycling
There are general waste, glass and mixed recycling facilities available in the bin store at the side of block 36. Please take care not to contaminate bins with the wrong types of rubbish. We also have British Heart Foundation charity donation point, a food bank and a donation library, plus battery and electrical recycling in the common room.

Fire test time and meeting point
Fire alarms are fitted throughout the property. Fire alarms are tested every Monday at 1pm. Your fire assembly point is to the right of the reception door, outside the entrance to Meadows Park.
