Transport

There's plenty of affordable ways to get around Liverpool using public transport. Various bus companies operate routes around the city and, if you're travelling further afield, Liverpool Lime Street railway station makes connecting with cities like Manchester and London simple. It's easy to travel abroad from Liverpool too, with Liverpool John Lennon airport around half an hour away by bus.

Sport

Aside from facilities on campus, you can expect to find plenty of gyms in and around Liverpool, 12 of which can be accessed under a single council gym membership. If you like watching live sport, then a visit to Anfield, home of Liverpool FC, is an absolute must.

Shopping

Liverpool is a great city for shopping, with plenty of independent shops and boutiques as well as national chains. You'll find all the big brand names, including Apple, H&M and Superdry, at Liverpool ONE on the waterfront - they even have the only Harvey Nichol's Beauty Bazaar in the UK! There's plenty of choice when it comes to food shopping too, with a Tesco superstore and various convenience stores located right in the centre of town.
