Newgate Court is in the heart of Newcastle and on the door step of the city's main shopping streets and nightlife. Less than five minutes walk to Newcastle University's Business School and ten minutes to the main campus, you really will embrace the culture of this fantastic city when living at Newgate Court.

Facilities at Newgate Court

Our friendly reception will be open 8am - 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am - 4pm on Saturday.
Common Room
There are several common areas close to Reception. They have lots of comfortable seating, TV's, vending machines, a pool table and Foosball machine. There is also a cinema room.
Study Room
There is a large area to study away from your flat on the ground floor as well as a quiet study located on the top floor boasting city views.
The Gym is also located on the ground floor and has lots of different equipment including a treadmill, cross trainer, rowing machine and free weights.
Laundry Facilities
The laundry room is located on the ground floor. Machines are operated through the MyUnite app.
Outside Space
There is an internal courtyard area with seating and landscaped gardens as well as our large ground floor courtyard.
Customer parking is not available at Newgate Court. The closest multi-story is at the Gate complex.
Bike Storage
There is a bike storage facility located on the lower ground floor.
The bin store is on level 1. Recycling bins are provided in each flat.
Fire Test Day
Fire alarms are fitted throughout the property. Your fire alarm test day and time is Wednesday morning.
Key Type
You will receive a key fob on arrival at the property, which you can use to access your room and communal areas. You will receive a separate key for your mailbox.

Where do I collect my key?

You can collect your keys from reception when you check in. Just come straight to the main reception with your photo ID and they will have the keys ready and waiting for you.

Where can I park and unload my car?

Currently TBC. Car parking will be available on check-in day for a limited time only.

When can I move into Newgate Court?

You can move in at any point between the start of your tenancy and up to four weeks later. Got an Android or iOS phone? Tell us when you plan to arrive in the free MyUnite app.
Download the app, select Check-in day from the main menu, and choose your preferred date and time. Not sure when your tenancy starts? Your start date is displayed in the app as you go through this process.
Need to change your arrival date or time? Just go back to the app and edit your choices. And don't worry if you get delayed on moving day, we’ll get you settled whenever you arrive.
