Beech house is just a 5 minutes' walk from Oxford Brookes main campus. Right outside the property you will find bus stops to both Harcourt Hill and Wheatley campus. All students are provided with a free bus pass. 2 minutes’ walk up the road you will find central Headington, buzzing with shops, pubs, restaurants, banks and supermarkets. Buses to central London and airports stop in central Headington and run an around the clock service.

Facilities at Beech House

Reception
Beech House shares a reception with Dorset House open Monday to Friday between 8am - 8pm and Saturday between 9am - 5pm.
Common Room
Beech House has a large light airy study space and games facilities.
Laundry Facilities
The laundry room is located on the lower ground floor in A Block. Machines are operated via the MyUnite app.
Outside Space
There is a courtyard space.
Parking
There is no provision made for student parking. lt is a planning condition that no motor bike or car belonging to a student or visitor is permitted on site nor should students bring any car to the city.
Bike Storage
Bike storage is available at Beech House. If you are planning on bringing your bike then please remember to bring your own bike lock.
Recycling
Recycling facilities are available at Beech House.
Fire Test Day
Fire alarms are fitted throughout the property. Your fire alarm test day is Tuesday at 11.30am.
Key Type
You will receive a key card on arrival at the property (Reception is in Dorset House), which you can use to access your room and communal areas.
Emergencies
Our Emergency Contact Centre is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Just call 0300 303 1611 for assistance.

Information for check-in day at Beech House

Where do I collect my key?

You can collect your keys from reception when you check in. Just come straight to the main reception with your photo ID and they will have the keys ready and waiting for you.

Where can I park and unload my car?

Street parking (limited time) is available in Latimer Road.Customers are requested to unload within 30 minutes and then move their car to Waitrose Headington where 2 hour parking is available for £2.50.

When can I move into Beech House?

You can move in at any point between the start of your tenancy and up to four weeks later. Got an Android or iOS phone? Tell us when you plan to arrive in the free MyUnite app.
Download the app, select Check-in day from the main menu, and choose your preferred date and time. Not sure when your tenancy starts? Your start date is displayed in the app as you go through this process.
Need to change your arrival date or time? Just go back to the app and edit your choices. And don't worry if you get delayed on moving day, we’ll get you settled whenever you arrive.
