Dorset House is in a great location with Oxford Brookes main campus just a five minute walk away with shops, bars and restaurants also just five minutes down the road in the other direction. Spacious studio flats and stylish en suite rooms in 4, 5 and 6 bedroom flats are available along with copious amounts of communal social space.

Facilities at Dorset House

Reception
Our friendly reception will be open Monday to Friday between 8am - 8pm and Saturday between 9am - 5pm.
Common Room
There is a spacious and bright common area with TV, pool table and table football.
Laundry Facilities
The laundry room is located by C Block. Machines are operated via the MyUnite app.
Outdoor Space
Dorset House has an outdoor courtyard.
Parking
There is no provision made for student parking with the exception of disabled spaces. lt is a planning condition that no motor bike or car belonging to a student or visitor is permitted on site nor should students bring any car to the city.
Bike Storage
Bike storage is available at Dorset House – if you are planning on bringing your bike then please remember to bring your own bike lock.
Recycling
Recycling facilities are available at Dorset House. Please take care not to contaminate with different types of refuse.
Fire Test Day
Fire alarms are fitted throughout the property. Your fire alarm test day is Tuesday at 11.30am. Your fire assembly point is located in the car park.
Key Type
You will receive a fob and room key on arrival at the property, which you can use to access your room and communal areas.
Emergencies
Our Emergency Contact Centre is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Just call 0300 303 1611 for assistance.
 

Information for check-in day at Dorset House

Where do I collect my key?

You will need to go to Reception to check-in. Once you have checked in you will receive your key in the form of a key card.

Where can I park and unload my car?

Parking is available at Dorset House for check-in. As parking is limited, customers are asked to unload within 30 minutes and then move their car to either Latimer Road (which has 2 hour street parking available) or the Waitrose in central Headington (where 2 hours parking is available for £1.60).

When can I move in?

You can move in at any point between the start of your tenancy and up to four weeks later. Got an Android or iOS phone? Tell us when you plan to arrive in the free MyUnite app.
Download the app, select Check-in day from the main menu, and choose your preferred date and time. Not sure when your tenancy starts? Your start date is displayed in the app as you go through this process.
Need to change your arrival date or time? Just go back to the app and edit your choices. And don't worry if you get delayed on moving day, we’ll get you settled whenever you arrive.
