Transport

There's plenty of affordable ways to get around Portsmouth using public transport. Stagecoach and First Bus operate buses around the city and, if you're travelling further afield, Portsmouth and Southsea railway station makes connecting with cities like London and Brighton simple. It's easy to travel abroad from Portsmouth too, with Gatwick airport around an hour and 20 minutes away by train.

Sport

Aside from facilities on campus, you can expect to find plenty of gyms in and around Portsmouth, from local to national gyms including PureGym. If you like watching live sport, then a visit to Fratton Park, the home of Portsmouth Football Club, is an absolute must.

Shopping

Shoppers are spoilt for choice in Portsmouth with plenty of independent shops and boutiques as well as national chains to choose from. Looking for a bargain? Head to Gunwharf Quays, the south coasts leading designer outlet, which boasts labels, including Adidas, GAP and Superdry, at discount prices. There's plenty of choice when it comes to food shopping too, with Waitrose and ASDA supermarkets located in the centre of town.
