A modern building with a lively atmosphere, and great views from the 19th floor common room, Greetham Street is situated in an ideal city centre location, perfect to make the most out of student life in Portsmouth. It's also just a few minutes’ walk from Portsmouth and Southsea railway station. Greetham Street’s great location means you have easy access to popular student areas such as Guildhall Walk, Gunwharf Quays Retail Outlet and restaurants, bars and café’s. It is situated within 5 minutes’ walk of the University main campus and close to the city’s main shopping centre.

Facilities at Greetham Street

Our friendly reception will be open Monday to Friday between 8am - 8pm and 9am - 5pm Saturday.
Common Room
There are a number of relaxation zones in different areas of the building and the main common room on the 19th floor includes a games area with table tennis, pool and table football; a chill out space with bean bags, sofas and TV with fantastic 360 degree views of the city. There are also study rooms with ethernet ports and desks with plugs for USB charging. There are vending machines in the common room and the study room.
Laundry Facilities
The laundry room is located on the ground floor. Machines are operated through the MyUnite app.
Outside Space
There is a seating area outside reception.
There is no parking available at Greetham Street.
Bike Storage
The bike store is located on the side of the building. To get access, please ask a member of staff at reception. If you are planning on bringing your bike then please remember to bring your own bike lock.
Recycling facilities are available at Greetham Street.
Fire Test Day
Fire alarms are fitted throughout the property. Your fire alarm test day is Monday at 10am. Your fire assembly point is located at St. Luke’s Church Car Park.
Key Type
You will receive a key card on arrival at the property, which you can use to access your room and communal areas.

Where do I collect my key?

You will need to go to Reception to check-in. Once you have checked in you will receive your key in the form of a key card.

Where can I park and unload my car?

Drop off points will be available outside the building in 20 minute windows. Help will be on hand to assist. For longer parking there is an NCP multi-storey nearby (Isambard Brunel NCP Car Park PO1 2BX) with no maximum stay and prices starting from £1.60 per hour. There are also other paid car parks across the city.

When can I move into Greetham Street?

You can check in at any point from the start date of your tenancy. You can find your tenancy start date in your tenancy agreement or by logging into MyAccount here.
If you are going to be arriving much later than the start of your tenancy, just let us know and we will arrange for someone to be there to greet you and make sure you get the keys to your new home. If you are planning to move in outside of our reception opening hours, please contact our emergency contact centre on 0300 303 1611.
