If you’re looking for a good night out you only need to take a five-minute stroll from Spring Gardens to the town centre, where you’ll find a range of student-friendly nightclubs including The Pearl Lounge, which hosts a range of student-centric club nights throughout the week, and The Garage and Campus, which boasts great music across two rooms.
 
A quick hop on the bus will take you to The Union Bar at Aberdeen University Students’ Association, which is a great place to meet with friends and make new ones while you plan the rest of your night over some of the cheap drinks on offer.

Whether you want to know more about Aberdeen’s history, enjoy some of its magnificent architecture, or just find a tranquil spot to relax in, you’ll find there’s plenty to enjoy around your new home in Spring Gardens. Theatre lovers will find a wide range of performances to indulge in held at some of the city’s leading venues like His Majesty's Theatre and The Aberdeen Arts Centre.
 
Aberdeen is also home to one of Scotland’s biggest cultural events, the Aberdeen International Youth Festival which celebrates youth arts in the city and will be easy for you to get to and enjoy from Spring Gardens.
Getting Active
You’ll be just a 10-minute walk away from one of the best sports centres in the city – The Aberdeen Sports Village – while you live in Spring Gardens. There are several bus stops just a few minutes from Spring Gardens, giving you easy access to many of the city’s highlights, including the University of Aberdeen and Robert Gordon University at Garthdee, so you can get to all your lectures without any hassle.
 
Regular train services run from Aberdeen railway station which is in the city centre, giving you access to Glasgow, Edinburgh and many other locations – perfect for exploring more of what’s on offer in Scotland. And if you’re traveling further afield, Aberdeen International Airport is just six miles from the city centre and offers flights to destinations all over Europe.
Local Essentials
A few minutes’ walk from Spring Gardens will take you to a Sainsbury’s Local and a larger Morrisons supermarket, so you can easily stock up on all your store cupboard essentials. Smaller shops, takeaways and restaurants are just as easy to get to from your new home.
 
For more shops and banks you’ll be spoilt for choice in Aberdeen’s city centre. And there are plenty of coffee shops where you can meet friends, or just curl up in a cosy chair with a book. Forgot your book? Don’t worry, you’ll be just a short distance from the Aberdeen University Library, one of Scotland’s largest and best-equipped libraries.
