Legend suggests that the patron saint of England, St George, was originally from Coventry. While slaying dragons might not be what you’re looking for, living in a city with such an impressive heritage is sure to help you succeed with your studying at Coventry University, socialising, and beyond.

Coventry city centre is where you will also find the Skydome, home to the Coventry Blaze ice hockey team, who have won the elite league title on multiple occasions. Members of the public can use the Skydome’s ice rink for recreational skating all year round. There is a speedway venue at Brandon, just outside the city centre. The university gym is located a short distance from our student flats, giving you easy access to top-class facilities. There are additional gyms and health clubs around the city centre.

null Evening entertainment

Coventry has a vibrant nightlife, with a range of bars and clubs across the city. Hush, Coventry University’s Students’ Union, is located close to our student accommodation, meaning you’re just a short distance away from all the events and nights out which are hosted throughout the year. In the town centre, you’ll find a range of great bars and pubs as well as many student-friendly nightclubs, most notably Kasbah on Primrose Hill Street, The Phoenix on Gosford Street, and Quids Inn, also on Gosford Street.

null Foodie focus

West Orchards has plenty of restaurants to choose from, with a wide range of cuisine options to suit all taste buds. There are also plenty of shops to enjoy with many renowned high-street brands having outlets in the shopping centre, conveniently located just a short distance from our Coventry student accommodation.

null Culture corners

The Ricoh Arena has a large concert facility, conference space and banqueting hall, and plays host to many live music acts and DJs. If you’re looking to relax after lectures or at the weekend, take a walk down to War Memorial Park for a spot of sunbathing and a game of frisbee, or climb Coventry Cathedral for views stretching past the university campus and out across Coventry. War Memorial Park is also home to the popular Godiva Festival.
