Social Scenes
Southwark is home to a range of pubs, art galleries, markets, restaurants and bars. There is a wide variety of venues ranging from traditional pubs to roof-top dining with views across the River Thames.
Oxford Street and Bond Street are less than 10 minutes' journey from Moonraker Point, so you’re close to one of the best shopping areas in London where you’ll find most of the top high-street and designer brands.
Covent Garden and Leicester Square are also a short journey away for some of the nightlife central London has to offer, with live music and comedy, street entertainment, and theatre productions every night of the week. Plus, the excellent transport links mean you can reach all areas of London easily, from Camden Town and Islington to Kensington and Chelsea in west London and Shoreditch and Brick Lane in East London.
London’s Southbank offers a range of entertainment from attractions such as the London Dungeons, to The Scoop at More London. There is a local outdoor amphitheatre with free events throughout June to September, showing films, music and theatre.
Moonraker Point is within 10 minutes’ journey of many of London’s best attractions including the London Eye, The Shard, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre and SEA LIFE London Aquarium.
There are plenty of things to do along London’s Southbank, from relaxing in Bernie Spain Gardens or Jubilee Gardens, to taking a tour along the River Thames on a London Duck Tour, to watching the latest blockbusters at the BFI IMAX Cinema.
The O2 Arena is just a quick journey away on the Jubilee line and includes a museum of popular music, a cinema and exhibitions. You can even climb across the roof of the dome with ‘Up at the O2’. The O2 Arena plays host to the biggest names in live music and entertainment, recently including Beyoncé and The Rolling Stones. 
Southwark also has a lot to offer art lovers with Tate Modern, the Bankside Gallery and the new South London Gallery close by.
Borough Market, a famous food market with over 100 fruit, vegetable and butcher stalls, is just a 10-minute walk from the property and is one of the oldest and largest markets in London. HMS Belfast, the Tower of London and Tower Bridge are also just a short journey away.
The property is just 20 minutes’ journey from Hyde Park which has a boating lake, numerous cafes and open water swimming (June-September) at the Serpentine Lido. The park also hosts a number of events and concerts throughout the year.

There are a number of gyms and leisure centres close to the property. The closest to Moonraker Point include CrossFit Central London on Ewer Street, Bankside Health Club on Southwark Street, The Gym Waterloo on Waterloo Road, and Fitness4Less Southwark on Great Suffolk Street.
Many students make the most of the property’s great location by jogging along the River Thames, just a few hundred metres from the property.
The Colombo Centre is just 10 minutes’ walk away on Colombo Street, and has a range of sports facilities including badminton, tennis and basketball courts, and football pitches.

Close and convenient

Travel and Transport
The fantastic Zone 1 location means you have excellent transport links across London. The nearest underground station is Southwark on the Jubilee line, just a few minutes’ walk from the property, with trains towards west London for Green Park and Bond Street, and east London for London Bridge and North Greenwich.
Waterloo station is just a 10-minute walk from the property and provides mainline train services to the rest of the UK. Waterloo station is also on the Northern, Jubilee and Bakerloo underground lines. Direct trains run to Leicester Square, Camden Town and Clapham on the Northern line, and you can reach Oxford Circus, Piccadilly Circus and Regents Park on the Bakerloo line.
The area is well served by a number of bus routes. King’s Cross St Pancras station is accessible in 15 minutes from a bus route that passes Southwark station. Other useful local bus services include the 63 Forest Hill to King's Cross service, the RV1 Covent Garden to Tower Gateway service, and the 100 service from Elephant & Castle to St George's Town Hall.
