Where to Stay?

An abundance of food and drink chains, high-street amenities and a vibrant nightlife, coupled with its rich sporting and musical history, has seen Manchester become a hub for young minds around the UK. It has a student population of nearly 100,000, with several prestigious higher education institutions found throughout the city. Towards the city centre, you’ll find the University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU), with Salford University, Royal Northern College of Music and UFCB just a short distance away.

Unite Students’ excellent student accommodation in Manchester is found at choice locations within the city centre, perfect for students studying at Manchester Universiy. Piccadilly Point and Mill Point are right next door to Manchester University’s main campus, perfect for early morning lectures. Both are walking distance from the city centre where you’ll find restaurants, bars, the Arndale shopping centre and everything you need to fall in love with your university city.

Not too far away is our Manchester Metropolitan University student accommodation, where we have seven prime locations surrounding MMU campus and the Royal Northern College of Music, offering you plenty of choice. Bridgewater Heights is located on Oxford Road, a street scattered with student bars and clubs. New Medlock House, Parkway Gate, Cavendish Place, Rosamond House and Sir Charles Groves Hall are also found within five minutes of the two campuses. As well as being a short walk to your lectures, the MMU student union is located on-site, with the promise of great food and drinks.

Excellent tram and bus services mean you’re never too far from everything Manchester offers its students. It’s just a 15-minute tram up to the Northern Quarter, an area famous for its chilled-out bars and live music venues. All our Manchester University and Manchester Metropolitan University student halls are walking distance from Oxford Road Station, giving you easy access to a train home for the holidays.
