Chaucer House shares an entrance and reception with one of our other properties, Margaret Rule Hall. On the ground floor, you’ll find a common room complete with sofas, armchairs and tables, as well as a fully equipped gym. On the first floor of Block A there's a spacious study room, as well as another common room on the first floor of Block B - perfect for studying or simply lounging around with your mates.

Home to more than 480 students, Chaucer House is in a prime central location, located next to Portsmouth and Southsea rail station and a 10 minutes’ walk from the University of Portsmouth. Living in a central location means the best of Portsmouth is within walking distance. Cascades Shopping Centre is just 10 minutes away and there’s a Tesco superstore for your weekly shop. Take a 15-minute walk to outlet shopping mall Gunwharf Quays, or cultural and foodie hotspot Southsea is a bus ride away.
