We designed and built the MyUnite app to make daily tasks at your Unite Students home as easy as possible.
The app is how you use the laundry machines, so you’ll need it for that. But you’ll want it for plenty more, from parcel alerts to group chat.
In this guide, you’ll find out how to download the MyUnite app and why you’ll need it to get the most out of your new home.
By now, you probably don’t need instructions for downloading an app. Either search your app store for MyUnite, or use the relevant link below.
Before you arrived, we sent you an email asking you to download the app and choose a check-in slot, connect with your flatmates in uChat, and use the useful information section to see what’s in and near you new home.
You can still use uChat and Useful information now that you’ve checked in. But there are other features now available that will make your daily life easier.
Here are all the day-to-day things you can do with the app:
1) Laundry: Find a machine and pay for your cycle
Your washing machines and dryers are owned and managed by our provider Circuit, but they’re controlled by the MyUnite app. Find a machine, add funds, start your cycle.
2) Parcels: Get an alert when something is waiting for you
When you get a parcel that’s too big for your post box, we’ll keep it behind reception and send you an alert in the app. So there’s no need for you to wait in.
3) Maintenance: Tell us in the app if something’s broken
When something breaks in your room or flat, log a maintenance request in the app and we’ll send somebody to investigate and fix the problem.
4) Lock-outs: Get back in your home when you lose your key
Lost or forgotten your key? Tell us in the app that you’re locked out and our 24-hour Emergency Contact Centre in Bristol will send a member of your local team to let you in.
5) Noise: Let us know if someone’s keeping you up at night
If somebody’s making an unreasonable amount of noise late at night, you can make a noise complaint in the app and your 24-hour security team will come and investigate.
