Get the most from your last term with our Spring Festival 2021
Your last term should be a memorable one while you’re staying with us, despite the restrictions we continue to face from Covid-19. To help with this, we’re running the Unite Students Spring Festival from this Sunday 18 April.
We know from student surveys that over three quarters of you have been struggling with your mental health and wellbeing, and over half of you have had difficulties making friends – which is hardly surprising, considering the impact Covid has had on socialising.
To welcome you back after Easter, and to help you create positive memories in your final term, we’re launching a calendar packed with virtual student festival events.
Student feedback has shaped the programme, and you’ll see events around exercise, student wellbeing, cooking tutorials and more – all hosted by influencers and subject experts.
This Monday, will be a conversation with University Chaplains.
Chaplaincy is often thought of as a place where religious people go, but this is not the whole story. Find out about the chaplaincy communities in university, and how chaplaincy can support you, no matter your background.
Tune in here on Microsoft Teams at 4pm.
Tuesdays and Wednesdays
Our Tuesday and Wednesday events will have an academic focus and be hosted by learning support company, ELS International. You’ll learn how to develop convincing arguments to amp up your written assignments, how to read more efficiently and avoid overwhelm, and how to pass your exams with ease.
This Tuesday and Wednesday, ELS will gear you up to pass your exams with confidence.
