How to book Bristol student accommodation
Choosing student housing in Bristol is easy with Unite Students. There’s en-suite, non-en-suite, studio and accessible rooms to choose from.
This is how to book:
- Choose a property and select the right room type for you.
- If you want to see the room in person, get in touch to arrange a viewing. Don’t want to wait? You can view virtually if you take a 360 tour on the website.
- Choose your length of tenancy – it’s up to you whether you stay all year, the academic year, or for a shorter period, such as a semester.
- Enter your personal details, including your name, date of birth, country of residence, contact details, your university of study and your course.
- Enter your guarantor details – guarantors must be over 25 and they could be liable for rent if you struggle to keep up with your rental payments.
- Payment details – to make sure you don’t miss a payment, choose Direct Debit. Or, simply enter your credit/debit card details.
- Choose instalment plan – you have the choice to make your payments in one, three or seven instalments.
To book student accommodation in Bristol, you will need:
- To be at least 16 years old.
- To be a student in education.
One more thing – these are single occupancy rooms only – so no sharing.
You get:
- 7 Day Cooling-Off-Period – if you change your mind and/or you need to withdraw from your rental agreement, don’t worry. You can cancel up to seven days after you’ve received your booking confirmation.
- No Place, No Pay – if you didn’t meet the entry requirements and can’t get your place, or exceed your predicted grades and want to go to a different uni, you may be eligible for withdrawal.

You can either pay in one, three or seven instalments when you make your booking. All Unite Student properties have bills included, meaning no unexpected additional costs.
Although we don’t ask for a deposit, an advance rent may be required. This is a fraction of the full-year amount, and we put this towards your first rent instalment so it doesn’t cost extra.
If you intend to pay in full, you’ll still need a guarantor. This is someone over 25 who can guarantee payments will be maintained if you’re unable to pay rent on time – for example, a parent or legal guardian.

When should I book student accommodation in Bristol?

And you can avoid unexpected rises in costs by booking now – locking in the price for 2023/24.

Bristol is one of the best places in the UK for universities. But if you didn’t get a university offer and need to go through clearing, there may still be accommodation available here. If there isn’t, it could become available later, so you can join the waiting list. And don’t forget – if you’re a first-year student and don’t get the university you wanted, you can always cancel your accommodation, for free.
