About Newcastle

What can you look forward to in Newcastle?

null Students

With over 42,000 students at both Newcastle University and Northumbria University, you’ll have many chances to meet and make new friends from diverse backgrounds. Newcastle has so much on offer, and our student accommodation exposes you to all the opportunities you’ll need to express yourself, have fun and succeed!

null Sporting spotlights

Locals are passionate about their football, and Newcastle United Football Club’s St James’ Park stadium – the setting for the Goal film franchise – dominates the Newcastle skyline. The Centre for Physical Recreation and Sport is also close to our student accommodation and offers both performance sport and more casual exercise classes such as aerobics, yoga and dance classes. And Get Active Newcastle offers excellent rewards for students through council-run membership schemes to local gyms such as Eldon Leisure.

null Evening entertainment

You’ll have great access to the many music and entertainment events hosted at the Students' Union every year. Venturing out into the city centre you’ll find an abundance of nightclubs, bars and pubs playing all kinds of music from indie to cheese and everything in between.

null Foodie focus

You’ll have a choice of cafés and restaurants including: Moulin Rouge Cafe and Grill, Nando’s, Blakes Coffee House, Pizza Express, Starbucks Coffee, Strada, Wagamama and more when you live in our Newcastle student accommodation. So whatever your tastes, you’re sure to find something to suit your palette.

null Culture corners

Newcastle is home to the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, the Sage Gateshead Music Centre, the Millennium Bridge over the Tyne, and the 11th century castle that gave the city its name. The city offers everything a student could wish for, including the fantastic Quayside, theatres, comedy and music venues and museums. China Town and the Gate cinema and bars complex are also well worth a visit and easy to get to from our student flats.
