Are there any changes to Visas for international students?

The UK government is committed to supporting international students as result of the challenges posed by Covid-19.

The UK Government will ensure that international students can apply for, and will receive, their Tier 4 visas in good time before commencing their programme of study in the UK. International students will be eligible for the two-year Graduate route, which will be launched in summer 2021.

The visa grant rate for international students is extremely high: over 98% of Tier 4 (General) student visa applications made by international students were granted in the last year.

UK Government confirmed that those studying by distance/blended learning will be eligible to apply for the Graduate route provided they are in the UK by 6 April 2021 and meet other requirements of the route.
