I'm having trouble connecting to the internet. What should I do?

If you’re having difficulty connecting, there’s a few things to check.

First, clear your browsing history, cookies and cache. ‘Forget’ the Wi-Fi network on your device and try turning off your Firewall. Don’t forget to turn your firewall back on once you’re connected.

If you're still having trouble with connecting any devices including games consoles and TV streaming devices or your internet has gone down, it is best to directly contact your internet provider directly. Your internet provider will depend on the property you are staying in.

If your internet provider is Glide you can contact them on 0333 123 0198 or email studentsupport@glide.co.uk. The @GlideStudentHelp Service Desk is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If you internet provider is ASK4 you can contact them on 0114 303 3232 or email support@ask4.com. They're also available on Live Chat here. The ASK4 Service Desk is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If your internet is provided by another provider, for example through your university, please speak to your reception team who will be able to help.
