What does the status on my Electrical Installation Condition report mean?

The Electrical Installation Condition report uses observation codes to classify any defects found during inspection.

If our electrical inspection finds no issues, or only identifies areas where improvements could be made, the report will be marked as Satisfactory.

If the inspection identifies something that needs further investigation, could become unsafe, or presents a safety risk, the report may be marked as Unsatisfactory. In these cases, additional work may be needed to make sure the installation is safe.

An Unsatisfactory result may remain in place until any required investigations, repairs and follow-up testing have been completed. All serious defects are resolved during the inspection. Once any follow-up work is finished, an updated Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) will be issued.

If you have any questions or concerns about the findings in your report, please contact your property team, who will be happy to help.
